Social Distancing Guidelines
We are excited to open our doors again to welcome you! We ask all those joining us to please wear a mask covering their nose and mouth. We are gathering inside the church with socially distanced seating and plenty of hand sanitizing stations.
We'd love to journey with you in making Prince of Peace your new home. Whether you are searching for more in life, recently moved to the area or just looking for a community that you can call home...we're here for you! We invite you to check us out on a Sunday or at any of our events, all are welcome. If you'd officially like step forward in the journey of a lifetime, we invite you to to sign up for our next Alpha or browse a Connect Group and start building your community, and we will see you once restrictions have been lifted!
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens at mass?
A typical mass lasts about an hour and includes worship music, scripture readings, a reflection on those readings, and culminates in communion (as Catholics we believe that Jesus Christ is present in the bread and wine that is consecrated at mass)
How will I know what to do?
The first step is to get there! After that, we use digital screens to display song lyrics, sentences, announcements, and more. You can also download our parish app and use the "follow through the mass" section.
What do I wear?
You can wear whatever you want. There are some people who wear suits and ties, but many become more casual (pants and a button-down shirt), some families come from sporting events and others wear jeans and T-shirts.
Will I be asked to give money?
We do bring an offering, but it is for our members and regular attendees. If you are a visitor / guest, don't feel obligated to give - we're glad you joined us!
Can I bring my kids?
Prince of Peace is a place for all people. We love children here and want to support you in their upbringing! We always encourage parents to bring their children to join us. However, everyone has their moments! If you need to go out with your children, we play the audio of our service inside and outside the building and we have some screens so you can participate while your child burns some energy. But don't feel like you have to stay out, come back when you can! We offer daycare at Mass during 9:30 a.m., 12 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. and our staff absolutely love our little ones. Feel free to come in early or stay late and let your child walk around the church and see things up close!
What is there for families?
We love families and we are very excited to support our parents in passing on the gift of faith. We organize events such as our parish picnic, family parties and dinners, Connect groups for families, as well as a monthly course called Equip Families, which helps parents pass the faith on to their children. Additionally, our middle and high school teens are invited to join us in our vibrant youth programming, retreats, and events.
