ENCOUNTER CHRIST
Today, the Lord is inviting us to repent, believe, and follow him, without delay. In the Gospel, we hear that the disciples leave their nets (and for James and John, their father) and come after Jesus to become “fishers of men.” Evangelizing, or “fishing for men,” requires sacrifice and urgency, but he gives us all that we need to abandon our former life of sin and to trust in God. The Lord does not disappoint. Let us respond with immediacy to Jesus’ call to leave everything behind to follow the Lord with reckless abandon and with great joy.
