Ever loving and compassionate, Jesus trades places with a leper he heals. The man was isolated, cut off and alone. By healing him, Jesus restored him to community, but found then himself unable to move freely throughout his society any longer. The results of doing God’s will can sometimes take us to unexpected places, but as Catholics we find deep meaning in dying to ourselves for the good of others. Regardless of cost or consequence, we stand with Jesus whenever we invest in others.
