Throughout the scriptures, we hear God make a promise of salvation to us all. He promises to make himself known to all, forgive our sins, and draw everyone to himself. This requires something from us in return. Like a grain of wheat, we are called to die to ourselves and surrender our will to his. Christ leads us in example. As Christ is obedient, even to death, we too must surrender in sacrificial obedience so that we might bear the fruit of his salvation.
