What holds me back from surrendering to the will of God?
Sadly, there are many excuses . . .fear of what might happen and what that would look like in my family, my work and my ministry, not taking the time and effort to discern what the will of God is for me, my luke warm faith that is comfortable and easy to live because I am too lazy to go deeper in my relationship....procrastination and lack of focus
Despite my personal failings I believe that doing God’s will is not an a one time activity or decision. It is an effort of growing my faith and deepening my relationship with God on a daily basis. It means involving God in my decisions and deliberations. To me, it means being open, intentional, prayerful and receptive to God’s mercy and grace. The will of God is to grow closer to him, to love others, to bear good fruit, to allow God to walk with me in my daily and hourly journey.
Simply – I hold myself back and thankfully God continues to call and invite me to follow.
