Confirmation is often misunderstood as a kind of “graduation” or public acceptance of the Faith. In this session, we learned that the Sacrament of Confirmation is an important step on the path of Christian discipleship that completes, or confirms, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit received at Baptism and sends the person out to proclaim boldly the Good News.
There is only one lesson for December. Below are some resources that will support the lesson this month. We pray that you all have a blessed Advent season as we prepare our hearts to receive the Savior of the world!
Dear Jesus, you are the hope in our messy world. This Advent, help us to slow down, listen to your voice, and focus on what’s really important. We place our hope in you as we prepare our hearts to celebrate your birth on Christmas. Amen.
