November Resources '19

by Prince of Peace

Nov 15, 2019

Equip Families Parents,

November will explore the Sacraments of Initiation and then will focus on the gateway to the Christian life: Baptism. We will look at how you became a part of God’s family and what happens during a baptism. We will learn that through our baptism, we are called to be holy and to evangelize.

In the Practice It! Section of your books, it is suggested that you place a Holy Water font near the entrance to your home. You can use the water in the home font to bless yourselves as you come and go each day, to bless the rooms of your house, your children’s school things, and even your car! Blessing your children before they get on the school bus or go to school is a great practice and a way of showing your faith to your children in a simple way.

Below are some resources that you may find helpful as you work with your children this month. Children are very video-oriented; so, if you can, use these videos to help both you and your children understand what we are learning this month.

Suggested Resources:

Recommended resources for Lesson 3: The Sacraments of Initiation

Recommended resources for Lesson 4: Baptism

May you be richly blessed this month. We are praying that God fills your days with things that draw you near to Him and those that bring you peace and joy. May you be reminded that through our baptism, we are reborn as children of God, are incorporated into the Church, and made sharers in her mission. May you go and preach the Gospels by your lives!
