Parish Letter about Engagement

by Prince of Peace

Apr 08, 2019

It is our desire that Prince of Peace be a place where all people can Encounter Christ in such a way that it prompts Living as a Disciple...Inviting other people into a relationship with Jesus Christ. In order to do that we had reflect on where we were as an existing community, from an internal perspective... That effort and discernment, guided by The Holy Spirit, led us to what we now call The Way.

The Way is an invitation to anybody who desires to go deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. If we truly live out The Way, as Jesus showed us, we, both collectively and individually, will be able to go out into the world and share the Gospel with everyone we encounter, either by our actions or by conversations.

Starting April 1st we will be asking all parishioners, ages 18 and over, to fill out a brief survey so we can gain an understanding of how we are doing as a community. This information will be vital for our parishioner-led leadership teams, ministries, staff and clergy as we continue to plan for the future. This information will help us uncover areas that need more support or offerings that you all desire to have as we grow in our faith.

This is not just about our parish "success" as an organization or a measure of success based on how many hours we each spend on campus. Ultimately this is about ensuring that Prince of Peace continues to be a place where people can, no matter where they are on their journey faith, Encounter Christ , either for the first time or in a new and different way, share that experience and invite others into their own experience of faith.

Prince of Peace is so much more than a building, it is about the people that make up the community that we call Prince of Peace and so I thank you for your continued support of the mission that we have here and ask for your continued prayers that Holy Spirit guides us as we move forward to the exciting things that He has planned for us.
